The
Addison Reserve Country Club is a golf and tennis community of 716 luxury homes
on 653 acres. Homes originally sold at the Club in 1996. In May, 2002, the Addison
Reserve Country Club became a member-owned and operated community. Membership
Application Process Contracts
to purchase or sell a home in Addison Reserve contain a contingency clause which
states: This
contract is contingent upon Buyer(s) being approved for equity membership in Addison
Reserve Country Club. When
entering into a contract to purchase or sell a home in Addison Reserve, remember
to allow ample time when scheduling the closing date for the application process
and background checks. We recommend a minimum of thirty (30) days. Immediately
upon finalizing the contract to purchase or sell a home in Addison Reserve, Sellers
need to send a letter of resignation to the Membership Director stating that they
are resigning their membership effective on the date of closing of the sale of
the home. Sellers also must return their original equity certificates to the Membership
Director. Also,
immediately upon finalizing the contract to purchase or sell a home in Addison
Reserve, please send a copy of the contract, along with the buyers names, addresses,

receipt of the Contract for Purchase & Sale and the buyers, names, addresses,
and telephone numbers, the Membership Director will contact the buyers and will
send out an application packet to them. The application packet will contain a
letter of welcome which explains the application process. Included in the application
packet will be: An
Application for Equity Membership at Addison Reserve; Release of All Claims and
Information (for Background Checks); Equity Membership Tariff (describes types
of Memberships, Privileges, and Fees). When
the completed Application, Release, and appropriate Application Fee ($300 for
domestic checks or $600 for international checks) is received by the Membership
Director, background checks are ordered. When the background check report is received,
the application and background report are reviewed by the Membership Committee.
A personal interview may also be requested. Upon approval by the Membership Committee,
a recommendation is made to the Addison Reserve Board of Directors to approve
the membership. Should
a negative background report come back , the buyers may be asked to interview
with the Membership Committee, or may be denied approval for membership. Once
a buyer is approved for membership, the Membership Director will send out a letter
of acceptance to the buyer. In this letter of approval, a request will be made
that immediately upon closing the house sale the new buyers come to the membership
office to activate the membership. At that time they will need to bring a copy
of Deed and the Settlement Statement (for a new house sale) or a copy of Deed
and checks payable to Addison Reserve Country Club for the equity fee and pro-rated
dues (for a resale house). There
are 565 Golf Memberships at the Club with the remaining 147 memberships being
either Sports Memberships or Social Memberships. A Golf Membership entitles the
member to use all of the golf, tennis, swimming, fitness and social facilities
of the Club. A Sports Membership entitles the member to use all of the tennis,
swimming, fitness and social facilities of the Club. Sports members are entitled
to unlimited golf play during the period May 1 to October 31 and limited use of
the golf facilities during the balance of the year. A Social Membership entitles
the members to use all of the swimming and social facilities of the Club. When
the new buyers come into the membership office for Orientation and to activate
their memberships, they will be given an equity certificate, ID cards, community
telephone directory, forms for obtaining an access code to allow access into the
community, forms for activating the burglar alarm system in the home, instructions
for obtaining SmartPasses (transponders which open the gate), and an informative
welcome to Addison Reserve. |
